Ingredients

  • 2 cups Makhana
  •  250 gms Paneer
  • 4 Onion (chopped) 
  •  4 Tomato 
  •  1 Ginger (grated) 
  •  4 – 5 Garlic cloves 
  •  1/2 cup milk Cream 
  •  2 cup Milk 
  •  1 tsp Red Chilli Powder
  •  1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder
  •  1/2 tsp Dried mint Leaves
  •  1 cup Cashewnuts 
  •  1/2 tsp Garam Masala 
  •  1 Tbsp Poppy seeds (soaked for 1 hour) 
  •  Coriander Leaves (chopped)
  •  4 tbsp Ghee

Directions

  • Heat ghee in a pan and Fry makhana in it.
  • Cut the paneer in small cubes.
  • Blend onion, tomato, garlic, ginger and cut cashew nuts in small pieces.
  • Grind the poppy seeds to a fine paste.
  • Again heat ghee in another pan.
  • Add the vegetable paste and cook till it gets a brown color texture. (stir continuously)
  • Add ground poppy seeds and fry for another 2 minutes and then turn off the flame.
  • To this mixture add makhana, paneer, milk cream, salt, red chili powder, turmeric powder, and dried mint leaves.
  • Keep it aside for half an hour.
  • After half an hour, add milk to the mixture.
  • When it comes to a boil add 3 cups of water and simmer it till the makhana gets soft.
  • Then add cashew nuts and garam masala and cook for another 1 minute.
  • Transfer the mixture to a dish, Serve hot with roti or parantha.
